Peter Howley, CPA, comes from Long Island, New York where he earned his BBA in Public accounting (Cum Laude) from Hofstra University in May of 1979. Upon graduation Mr. Howley immediatly started work on his graduate degree, which he completed in 12 months, earning an MBA in Taxation from Hofstra in May of 1980. Mr. Howley's professional career started by working with tax professionals and CPA firms during and after graduation. He earned his CPA in 1982 from New York State and also was full time adjunct professor at Hofstra University from 1983 to 1985. Moving to Florida in July 1985, Mr. Howley earned his Florida CPA license within a year. Since then, Mr. Howley migrated from being employed with local CPA firms to being self-employed. Mr. Howley has varied practice which includes tax and accounting services for individuals, corporations, estates and trusts. For the past ten years, Mr. Howley has provided specialized services to the International community in the area of "FIRPTA" transaction. Mr Howley is also active in preparing Nonresident Income Tax returns for individuals and foreign corporations and assists foreign persons and entities with 10% withholding issues when nonresidents sell U.S. Real Estate. Mr. Howley's corporation, Professional Trust Accounting, Inc. is also a Certifying Acceptance Agent for the Internal Revenue Service, ready to assist those persons and entities who need help obtaining Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN's) and Employer Identification Numbers (TIN's) |
